Default W/Mo Monk killing build help

OK, ive been hitting up the arena scene and after awhile of playing, have gotten pretty decent. However, the build ive been using could be more effective for my task (killing the monks ). So far ive been using this:

Swordsmanship: 10+2
Healing Prayers: 9
Smiting: 11

And whatever was left over I threw into strength (its like 4+1 i believe)

Frenzy/Pure Strike (been switching these out)
Sever Artery
Gash
Final Thrust
Symbol of Wrath
Banish
Healing Breeze
Strength of Honor


I was switching out mending and Balthazars Spirit in there as well. I also use a healing ankh (+12 energy and some +20% mods for healing prayers) so I have 38 total energy. What I want is some advice on a better setup for a total damage dealing smiting warrior. Now obviously I should probably transfer the healing attributes into strength? But what about skills? I want to maximize the efficiency of running in and dropping an enemy monk the fastest, just not sure on the combination of smiting skills. With one energy of regen while using strength of honor I dont regain the energy fast, but with 38 I have some to spare. Also im not sure if sever artery and gash are worth it? Perhaps for something with lots of HP, but then again those pesky monks sometimes when getting healed are very hard to take down the extra bleeding could help. Sigh, theres so much to take in to account

I would keep the sever artery but get of the gash and switch it with Galrath Slash. Its a heavy hitting melee attack that uses adrenalin.

Also to solve you energy problem, you could use either balthazars spirit which gives you adrenaline and energy when u get hit.

Alternativly you could throw up bonettis defense. for 5 or so seconds when u get hit with melee you have a 75% chance to block, whenever you do block you get 5 energy. So you can use it whenever you need a bit of energy.

Gash is really worth it if youve got sever artery. Galrath slash adds 25 damage to your normal attack, so your looking at about 50 damage before armour.
Gash causes a deep wound, which lowers targets health by 20% for about 17 seconds. This is about a hundred damage (assuming targets max health is 530), and its armour ignoring. The fact that it runs out after 17 seconds isnt really important, its a very cheap way to get the party started, and its easily refreshed. I suggest balthazars spirit over bonettis, since you cant use skills whilst its on, and its quite a bit of adrenaline to charge.

Also the deep wound that is caused by Gash will decrease the benefit your target recieves from healing. Definitely good when attacking a character who heals as a primary action.

My roommate uses a four hit adrenal combo on his sword warrior that is similar to yours. He does Sever Artery, Gash, Galrath Slash, and Final Thrust. When you time it right and stack it so that you get them below half health with the Galrath slash, they go down quick.

I would also agree with rii that Bonettis probably isn't the best fit for your build, Balthazars Spirit doesn't use adrenaline so you dont have to hit to get it back, which can be bad if you are blinded or something.

It does however have the downside that you would basically be unable to use strength of honor and balthazars at the same time. You would probably want at least one energy regen.

In any case, it's your build and it's not my place to tell you what it is you should do with it. Just tossing in my two cents.

Want to kill a monk with a smitter warrior/monk?
Two words: scourge healing
err...
Two more words: savage slash
err...
One more mord: hamstring

As a monk *and* warrior player, I know I can easily escape and outheal such a build. Your target won't stand still. Any decent player will run away, preferably with sprint or or a similar skill. If you want to defeat a good monk 1v1 in random arenas, you must be able to charge your adrenaline (Galrath/Thrust), to snare your target (hamstring), and then to stop his healing for brief moment (scourge) and to interrupt slow/strong spells such as breeze. Unleash Hell's fire while he can't heal. You win.

However, if this monk has decent team mates, expect to be blinded, cursed or energy/adrenaline drained.

Yeah, i could keep balthazars spirit and strength of honor up at the same time because the spirit would give me the energy regen IF i was taking damage....which I shouldnt really be in the beginning of the game. Yeah I tried scourge healing, more often than not though the hex gets removed, or the target gets spell breaker or something. Not sure if i will have to make room for it, or take out frenzy, but would you take hamstring over frenzy?

Scourge healing judges insite savage slash hamstring gg monk =/ dont take balthazars warriors usually are targeted last

Yeah man, how could you have a monk killing W/Mo without scourge and judge's insight? Those are mandatory.

How does judges insight really help though? I mean, dealing holy damage isnt gonna make a difference right? That only towards undead...+20% armor penetration..do monks have that much armor anyways?

Also scourge healing can be removed....and then theres Spell Breaker.

Because monks have 60 armor, the 20% armor penetration adds another 20% to your attack, so yes, it is uber =)

Anywayz, how effective is savage slash? Most monk spells have cast times of less than 1 second. Sword attacks have a attack speed of 1 slash per 1.2 seconds. It'd seem you'd whiff most of your savage slashes, unless you're trying to cancel out their res, then I can see how its really good.
